MRPC Mission Statement

The mission of Memphis Radiological Professional Corporation (MRPC) is superior patient care through the practice of radiology and radiation oncology. As such, MRPC physicians are partners in the mission of Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare, providing care for patients throughout Memphis and beyond. MRPC also directs and provide the principal faculty for the University of Tennessee/Methodist Radiology Residency, reflecting MRPC's commitment to medical education and academic excellence.

MRPC Vision Statement

Memphis Radiological Professional Corporation will be the premier provider of the highest quality, most cost-effective diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology services in the greater Memphis area.  This will be achieved through friendly service, flexible acceptance of insurance plans, and accurate analysis.  To accomplish this, we consistently will provide superior value.  We are committed to the communities, patients, clinicians and facilities we serve.  We respect our co-workers and strive to maintain an environment that fosters creativity, professionalism and high educational standards.  We realize that safety, quality and flexibility are the keys to our success.

History

MRPC was incorporated in 1972 and a successor to the Heacock - King Radiological Group partnership established in 1948. MRPC has been the exclusive provider of radiology services for the Methodist Healthcare System.  MRPC is a professional group of 47 diagnostic and therapeutic radiologists that are board certified and are “fellowship trained” in many sub-specialties of radiology (Ultrasound, Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Interventional Neuroradiology, Pediatric Radiology, Women’s Imaging, Body Imaging, and Therapeutic Radiology).

MRPC physicians provide services in the Memphis area Methodist Hospitals (Methodist University, Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown, Methodist North, and Methodist South).  In addition, MRPC provides radiology services for all the Methodist out-patient imaging centers (Methodist Breast CenterGermantown, Methodist Diagnostic Center - Midtown, Methodist Diagnostic CenterGermantown, and Methodist Diagnostic Center- North) and the Mid-South Radiation Oncology Center in Germantown.

In, addition, MRPC pilots an accredited radiology residency, teaching doctors to become board-certified radiologists.  The residency, recently combined with the University of Tennessee Radiology Residency Program, is centered at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.  Furthermore, MRPC’s physicians are active in medical research and the results are published in peer reviewed medical journals and books.  MRPC physicians conduct lectures and conferences locally and nationally and are actively involved as leaders in local and national medical societies.  Select MRPC physicians volunteer free radiology services to the working poor from underserved areas of Memphis.
